The AI fact check for the German-speaking market

The Adoption Index is live

Where AI is in use across DACH.
And what it demonstrably delivers.

Two views on the same question. The Adoption Index is live: a pilot survey of 517 world market leaders shows which AI tools companies actually run, with anonymised spend data to follow. The Impact Leaderboard, where an independent panel reviews the result behind a use case, opens in January 2027.

The index shows what is actually running.
The leaderboard shows what it demonstrably delivers.

You need both: use without a proven result is a risk, a result without comparison is an anecdote.

AI Adoption Index DACH

What are the others actually running?

A pilot survey of 517 world market leaders in DACH shows which AI tools are publicly visible in use. From the first edition on, the index adds anonymised spend data: whoever pays for a tool is using it, so the data will show what is really running, what is catching on and what disappears again after a few months.

  • 01Adoption per tool, by industry and company size
  • 02Risers and fallers of the quarter, new entrants included
  • 03Staying power: what is still in use after twelve months
  • 04DACH instead of a US average — comparable to your market

Area 2 · proof reviewed

AI Impact Leaderboard

What has it demonstrably delivered?

A company enters one concrete use case and has 30 days to evidence the result. Three reviewers check the proof. If it holds, the impact score is published. If it does not, that stays visible too.

  • 01Results in euro, not in percentage promises
  • 02Impact score from financial effect, improvement, maturity and evidence quality
  • 03Methodology disclosed per entry, measurement period included
  • 04Unproven entries stay on the board — that is the point

Which one do you need?

Rule of thumb: if the question is what others are running, take the index. If it is your business case, take the leaderboard.

Where the numbers come from

Index: from public signals to spend data

The pilot survey measures publicly visible signals: domains verified at AI vendors, job ads and website widgets. From the first edition, participating companies also release anonymised spend data on AI vendors. Either way we publish aggregates only; no single company is identifiable, and no figure comes from self-assessment.

Leaderboard: three pairs of eyes

Every entry needs a baseline, a measurement period, a result and a named person answering for it. Three reviewers decide independently; the first two matching votes are final. The impact score is computed server-side, never entered by the company.

Independence

No vendor can buy its way into the index, and no position on the leaderboard is for sale. What is paid for is the spot on the list, not the result — and a quarter of it comes back once the proof holds.

Two ways to be part of it

Contribute data and shape the index — or enter a result, evidence it and stand behind it in public.

Proof passed within 30 days: a quarter comes back. Deadline missed: the entry stays visible, without a score.
